We are a family-run farm specializing in Appaloosa horses and livestock guardian dogs in Englehart, Ontario.
I grew up on a farm with my father’s horses and purchased my first horse in 1995 as a young teenager. Over the years, our horses have been used for trail riding and working cattle on our family farm.
In 2007, we began breeding Appaloosa horses, and we were thrilled to welcome our first foals in 2008. What started as a small herd—one stallion, three broodmares, and a few young fillies—has grown into a carefully managed breeding program. Today, we have two stallions, thirteen breeding mares, and five young fillies preparing to join our program. As of 2024, we have been thoughtfully transitioning our herd by replacing older broodmares with younger mares and fillies to ensure the continued strength and quality of our lines.
In 2014, we introduced Great Pyrenees livestock guardian dogs to protect our goats. Their effectiveness led us to expand with Anatolian Shepherd Dog crosses, creating strong, dependable guardians for our horses, cattle, and pigs. Since 2019, we have been breeding Great Pyrenees × Anatolian Shepherd livestock guardian dogs, offering one or more litters per year based on demand and our waiting list.
We relocated from Brechin, Ontario to Englehart, Ontario in May 2020 and have since downsized our operation and we no longer have our goats, pigs and cattle. Our dogs are active, working guardians year-round, protecting our horses and laying hens. During the summer months, we also raise chickens, turkeys, and occasionally cattle. Additionally, our guardian dogs continue to work on our family farm in Brechin, Ontario, where they protect cattle, pigs, and horses.
We are based in Englehart, Ontario, and offer pickup or delivery from either Englehart, Ontario or Brechin, Ontario, depending on your location.
